This week my guest is strength and conditioning coach Mike Brown.
Mike has spent the past decade splitting time between coaching in the weight room and on the field. After graduating from the University of Utah, Mike went to work for Dan John at Juan Diego Catholic High School.
My guest this week is Marc Halpern http://findtimeforhealth.com Marc likes to lift heavy things because of what it enables him to do elsewhere in life, like skiing and hiking. He doesn’t eat egg whites and lettuce for breakfast, he eats real food.
This week I once again have the pleasure of sharing the mic with Dan John www.danjohn.net. Dan is one of the most in demand coaches and lecturers in the world! He is constantly traveling, presenting sold out workshops all over the US and abroad.
Today I am once again joined by legendary strength coach Dan John to talk about the new book, FAT LOSS HAPPENS ON MONDAY, and his friend and coauthor Josh Hillis. The main focus is on Josh and the book, but in typical Dan John fashion we go off on some wonderful tangents. Here is some of what we discuss:
JOSH HILLIS is a nutrition coach who specializes in habits-based, positive changes.LoseStubbornFat.com his popular fitness and fat-loss blog, has tens of thousands of regular readers, and his fat-loss and kettlebell-training e-books have helped people reach their personal goals for more than 10 years. Josh is currently the head coach at PowerHour Group Personal Training in Denver, Colorado.
Dan John www.danjohn.net is one of the most respected strength coaches in the world!
Dan has spent his life with one foot in the world of lifting and throwing, and the other foot in academia. An All-American discus thrower, Dan has also competed at the highest levels of Olympic lifting, Highland Games and the Weight Pentathlon, an event in which he holds the American record!
Everybody knows that certain things are “good for you.” In fact, I am usually amazed at the lists that people can spout off in just a moment or two without really thinking about it. Like my quick list:
•Don’t smoke
•Wear a seatbelt
•Floss daily
•Eat veggies
•Get eight hours of sleep.
